By Brian Liskai FREMONT, Ohio (Saturday, June 10, 2006) - It doesn't matter if it's a Saturday night at Fremont or an All Star Circuit of Champions sprint victory, Greg Wilson cherishes and celebrates every feature win. He didn't let the fans down Saturday at "The Track That Action Built," charging from his seventh starting spot to win his fifth career feature on Crown Battery Night. "I have a bunch of friends here tonight and they tell me I shouldn't get on the wing and celebrate. But these things are so hard to win....and I love doing it in front of these great fans at Fremont," said Wilson beside his All Star Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning sponsored #W20. "I have to thank Veryl Warnimont and Sabrina for providing me with all the equipment I need to race and win." Fremont's Bobby Foster led only the last three feet of the 25-lap Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprint feature to claim his 16th career victory. "I saw Bryan having trouble with the lapped cars. This car of mine just kept getting better and better as the race went on...so I knew if I could get to him I might have a chance," said Foster beside his JD Automotive #3j. "I got up on the berm in three and thought I was in trouble. I just gassed it up and it stuck and here I am." In the Coors Light Dirt Truck feature, Fostoria's Bob Dible refused to relinquish his bottom groove and scored his third feature win of the season. "I knew if I stayed right on that berm no one could get around me. We've finally turned the corner...I think we can win a bunch more of these," said Dible who has earned the nickname "catfish" for his bottom running ways. The current All Star point leader, Wilson, from Benton Ridge, Ohio, started the evening by setting fast time, but failed to transfer to the A-main through his heat and had to win the B, which put him in the seventh starting spot for the 30-lap feature. At the drop of the green, Findlay's Jason Dukes jumped into the lead with Bryan Scott and Mark Keegan in tow. The yellow would fly on lap two for Mike Linder. Dukes would lead until lap five when Keegan would slip by the outside for the point. Keegan would get a challenge for the lead from Scott by lap 12, with Wilson moving into third. At the half-way point, Keegan would lead with Wilson now into second. Two laps later Wilson would execute his winning move diving low through turns one and two to move around Keegan. While Wilson was negotiating lapped traffic, all eyes were on John Ivy who moved into fourth on lap 18 from his 13th starting spot. Wilson couldn't shake the field, as a ferious battle took place behind him between Keegan, Scott, Ivy and 15th starting Byron Reed. Wilson led at lap 23 with Scott, Ivy and Keegan trailing. The last five laps saw Scott and Ivy trade the runner-up position several times. Wilson took the win by three car lengths, as Ivy nipped Scott at the finish line for second. Rounding out the top five were Reed and Keegan. In the 305 feature, two-time Fremont winner Bryan Sebetto executed a great move on the first lap to move from third to the lead. He would watch a substantial lead disappear when the yellow would fly on lap nine. The running order was Sebetto, Scott Kraylek, A.J. Sleek, Willie Keegan and Foster. On the restart, Sebetto would once again build a big lead with the battle heating up for second through fifth between Kraylek, Sleek, Keegan and Foster. All eyes were on Paul Weaver who was working his way through the pack after spinning on lap nine. Foster would move into fourth by lap 18 and into second by lap 22. By then Sebetto had caught the back of the field and was having difficulty dealing with lapped traffic. As he took the white flag, Foster had moved to his rear bumper. As they slid through turns three and four, Foster hugged the bottom berm while Sebetto searched for a way around the lapped cars. Foster rocketed off the berm and nipped Sebetto at the line by three feet for the win. Weaver would finish third with Sleek and Kraylek rounding out the top five. In the dirt truck feature, Ron Bordner would jump into the early lead with Craig Hoffman, Shawn Valenti and Dwight Waltermier giving chase. Valenti would move into the lead two laps later, bringing ninth starting Dible into second. Dible would move under Valenti for the lead on lap 7. Sabo, who has two wins on the season, would move into second two laps later and would stick to Dible's rear bumper the remaining 12 laps, but just couldn't move around the outside for the lead. At the checkered, Dible would win, followed by Sabo, Valenti, Brian Arnold and Bobby Davis. Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, June 17 on Burger King Night with the Fort Ball Pizza 410 Sprints, Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints; and Coors Light Dirt Trucks in action.
