(Attica, OH) Attica Raceway Park honored its 2009 track champions and handed out point fund money to those finishing in the top 10 in points in all four divisions during an awards banquet Saturday, November 28th.

Champions were Chris Andrews of Sandusky, Ohio, in the 410 sprints, Bellevue, Ohio's Ryan Missler in the Fultz Fabrications and Speed Shop UMP Late Models; Paul Weaver of Fremont, Ohio in the Fremont Fence 305 Springs; and Tiffin, Ohio's Art Ball in the dirt trucks.

Also honored were 410 Rookie of the Year Cap Henry of Bellevue, Ohio, and dirt truck rookie of the year Keith Sorg of Fremont.

Andrews, a former national 410 rookie of the year, competed in 14 of the 17 A-mains in 2009, missing only an All Star feature, a World of Outlaws show and the June 12 feature. He scored 10 top 10 finishes and five top fives. He posted wins on March 27, July 3 and Aug. 7, and added a third place showing. His average feature finishing position was seventh.

Missler, who also won a new Rocket Chassis thanks to Fultz Fabrications and Attica Raceway park, competed in all 17 A-mains in 2009. He posted an incredible 13 top 10 finishes and 11 top five runs. He scored wins on April 4, May 22 and Aug. 7 and added a runner-up finish and three third place showings. His average A-main finishing position was 6th.

Following is a summary of the top 10 in points for each division in 2009:

DIRT TRUCKS

10th - Brian Sorg of Fremont, Ohio. Sorg competed in 7 of the 9 A-mains in 2009, recording four top 10 finishes with an average A-main finishing position of 12th.

9th - Curt Inks, Green Springs, Ohio. Inks competed in 7 of the 9 A-mains, recording 3 top 10 finishes with an average finishing position of 10th.

8th - Adam Jones of Fostoria, Ohio. Jones, a rookie, competed in 7 of the 9 A-mains with 3 top 10 finishes and an average finishing position of 12th.

7th - Keith Sorg of Fremont, Ohio. The 2009 rookie of the year competed in all 9 A-mains with a pair of top 10 finishes and an average feature finishing position of 13th.

6th - Paul Brown Jr. of Clyde, Ohio. Brown compeed in all 9 A-mains with 5 top 10 finishes and 3 top five finishes, including a pair of third place runs. His average A-main finishing position was 9th.

5th - Dan Hennig of Castalia. Hennig competed in all 9 A-mains, recording 7 top 10 finishes and 5 top five finishes. He posted a win on May 8 and scored a second and a pair of third place runs. His average A-main finishing position was 7th.

4th - Brian Arnold of Tiffin, Ohio. Arnold competed in 8 of the 9 A-mains, never finishing out of the top 10 while recording 6 top five finishes, including a second and a pair of thirds. His average feature finishing position was fourth.

3rd - Alex Wiechmann of Oak Harbor. He competed in all 9 A-mains and never finished out of the top 10. He recorded 6 top five runs including a pair of runner-up finishes and four fifth place showings. His average feature finishing position was fifth.

2nd - Dwight Waltermeier of Wayne, Ohio. He competed in all 9 A-mains, posting 6 top 10 finishes and 5 top five runs. He scored wins on July 3 and Aug. 29 and had an average A-main finishing position of seventh.

FREMONT FENCE 305 SPRINT CARS

10th - Dan Hammond of Fort Seneca, Ohio. Hammond competed in 10 of the 17 A-mains, recording 5 top 10 finishes and an average feature finishing position of 11th.

9th - Steve Rando of Lindsey, Ohio. Rando competed in 16 of the 17 A-mains, missing only the last show on Aug. 29. He recorded 11 top 10 finishes and seven top fives, including a season best third on May 15. His average A-main finishing position was eighth.

8th - Shawn Valenti fo Risingsun, Ohio. Valenti competed in 16 of the 17 A-mains, missing only the April 17 show. He recorded five top 10 finishes and had a pair of top five runs including a win on April 24. His average A-main finishing position was 11th.

7th - Josh Muntz of Fremont, Ohio. Muntz made all 17 A-mains in 2009 with 7 top 10 finishes. His average finishing position was 11th.

6th - Zack Kramer of Fremont Ohio. Kramer made all 17 A-mains, recoring 8 top 10 finishes and five top 5 runs, including a pair of runner-up finishes and a third. His average feature finishing position was 11th.

5th - D.J. Foos of Fremont, Ohio. Foos made 15 of the 17 A-mains, missing only the April 4 and April 17 features. He recorded 11 top 10 finishes and five top fives including a win on Aug. 7. His average feature finishing position was ninth.

4th - Nate Dussel of Bradner, Ohio. Dussel made 16 of the 17 features, missing only the May 15 show. He recorded 11 top 10 runs and 7 top fives, including a win on July 17 and a pair of runner-up finishes. His average feature finishing potiion was eighth.

3rd - Bobby Clark of Fremont, Ohio. Clark made 16 of the 17 A-mains, missing only the April 4 feature. He recored 13 top 10 finishes and an incredible 11 top five finishes including four wins - June 12, July 3, Aug. 22 and Aug. 29. His average feature finishing position was a remarkable fifth.

2nd - Stuart Brubaker of Helena, Ohio. Brubaker, the defending 305 sprint track champion, competed in all 17 A-mains. He recorded an impressive 14 top 10 finishes and an even more impressive 12 top five runs. He recorded a pair of wins, on May 15 and July 10, and was runner-up an incredible six times. His average A-main finishing position was sixth.

FULTZ FABRICATIONS & SPEED SHOP UMP LATE MODELS

10th - John Bores, Bellevue, Ohio. Bores competed in 13 of the 17 A-mains in 2009, recording three top 10 finishes on route to an average feature finishing position of 14th.

9th - Ernie Haynes, Risingsun, Ohio. Haynes comepted in 13 of the 17 A-mains, scoring four top 10 finishes including a runner-up finish. His average A-main finishing position was 13th.

8th - Michael Stiltner, Green Springs, Ohio. Stiltner competed in 11 of the 17 A-mains, scoring four top 10 finsihes and a season best fourth. His average feature finishing position was 12th.

7th - Chuck Roelle, Fostoria, Ohio. Roelle competed in 12 of the 17 A-mains in 2009, posting three top 10 finishes. His average feature finishing position was 13th.

6th - Noah Wagner, Fremont, Ohio. Wagner, a former rookie of the year, competed in 12 of the 17 A-mains, posting three top 10 finishes. His average A-main finishing position was 13th.

5th - Mike Bores, Bellevue, Ohio. Bores competed in 14 of the 17 A-mains, posting four top ten finishes. His average feature finishing position was 14th.

4th - Ken Hahn, Gibsonburg, Ohio. Hahn, the 2007 limited late champion, made 15 of the 17 A-mains in 2009, missing only the April 4 and April 17 features. He posted 11 top 10 finishes and three top fives including a pair of runner-up finishes. His average A-main finishing position was eighth.

3rd - Wayne Maffett Jr., Mansfield, Ohio. Maffett, the all-time winnest driver at Attica in the street stocks/limited late models, made all 17 A-mains in 2009. He posted 12 top 10 finishes and a remarkable 10 top five finishes. He recorded a win on July 10 and added a pair of runner-up finishes and a pair of thirds. His average A-main finishing position was eighth.

2nd - Dusty Moore, Swanton, Ohio. Moore competed in 16 of the 17 A-mains, missing only the season-ending event. He scored 12 top 10 finishes and an incredible 10 top five finishes. He posted three runner-up finishes and three third place showings on route to an average feature finishing position of sixth.

410 SPRINT CARS

10th - Scott Euler, Bowling Green, Ohio. Euler competed in 6 of the 17 A-mains, scoring one top 10 finish on route to an average feature finishing position of 14th.

9th - Brian Smith, Fremont, Ohio. Smith, a former 305 sprint Attica champion, competed in 8 of the 17 A-mains, scoring a pair of top 10 finishes. One of those top ten runs was a rememberable  late race pass of Chad Kemenah to score the first ever FAST  feature win. His average A-main finishing position was 14th.

8th - Brandon Martin, Attica, Ohio. Martin competed in 15 of the 17 A-mains. He scored 7 top 10 finishes and a pair of top fives. His average A-main finishing position was 12th.

7th - Kevin Lee, Green Springs, Ohio. The rookie competed in 10 of the 17 A-mains, posting three top 10 finishes. His average A-main finishing position was 12th.

6th - Cap Henry, Bellevue, Ohio. The 2009 Attica rookie of the year competed in 11 of the 17 A-mains, scoring four top 10 finishes. His average A-main finishing position was 12th.

5th - Craig Mintz, Gibsonburg, Ohio. The 2009 FAST champion, competed in 13 of the 17 A-mains in 2009 posting 11 top 10 finishes and 6 top fives. He posted wins on June 5 and July 24 and added a pair of runner-up finishes. His average feature finishing position was sixth.

4th - Mark Keegan, Fremont, Ohio. The all-time Attica 410 sprint feature winner competed in 12 of the 17 A-mains in 2009. A 12-time Attica champion, Keegan posted 8 top 10 finishes and three top fives, including a pair of third place runs. His average A-main finishing position was ninth.

3rd - Mike Linder, Fremont, Ohio. The all-time 305 sprint feature winner competed in 13 of the 17 A-mains in 2009. He recorded 10 top 10 finishes and 5 top fives, including a runner-up finish. His average A-main finishing position was ninth.

2nd - Byron Reed, Monclova, Ohio. A five-time Attica champion, Reed competed in all 17 A-mains in 2009. He posted 12 top 10 finishes and 5 top fives and battled for the championship right down to the end. Reed scored a runner-up finish and three thirds. His average A-main finishing position was eighth.
